Privacy Policy

Shlinko turns documents into share links and tells the sender how those links are viewed. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: admin@shlinko.com.

If you use Shlinko to share documents ("reps")

• Your Google account: name, email address and profile picture, used to sign you in and show who sent a link.
• Google Drive files you pick: if you connect Google Drive, we only read the specific files you choose or paste a link to. We make a copy to display them and refresh it when you ask. We do not browse the rest of your Drive.
• Files you upload and the page images we create from them. These are stored privately and only shown through short-lived signed links.
• Slack (optional): if your workspace installs the Shlinko Slack app, we store your Slack user ID and email (to match you to your Shlinko account) and the workspace's bot token, so we can send you alerts.
• Profile details you add: title, headshot, meeting link, and your workspace logo and brand color.

If you open a Shlinko link ("viewers")

• A random first-party cookie so repeat visits are counted as the same visitor. It is not used on other websites.
• Which pages you look at and for how long, and clicks on buttons such as the meeting button or related documents.
• Device type (desktop, mobile or tablet) and approximate city and country, worked out when the page loads.
• Questions you choose to type into "Ask a question".

We do not store your IP address or your full browser identifier, and we do not fingerprint your device. This information is shared with the person who sent you the link.

Services that process data for us

• Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase) — hosting, database, sign-in and file storage.
• CloudConvert — converts documents into page images. Files are sent for conversion and deleted by them afterwards.
• Google — sign-in and Google Drive access.
• Slack — delivering alerts, only if your workspace installs the app.
• Logo.dev — looks up a company logo from a website domain a rep enters. Only the domain is sent.
• Lovable email — sends operational emails to our own team.

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Security

Access tokens for Google and Slack are encrypted before they are stored. Files are kept in private storage. See our Security page.

Keeping and deleting data

• Deleting a document removes its files and page images and stops all its links. View history is kept so your analytics stay accurate.
• You can disconnect Google Drive or Slack at any time in Settings; this deletes the stored tokens.
• To delete your account, your workspace, or all data about you as a viewer, email admin@shlinko.com.

Google user data

Shlinko's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Drive data is used only to show the files you choose as share links.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell reps by email for important changes.
